Market Notes
Primarily France and European markets where light-quadricycle regulations support the category.

Aixam is a French manufacturer best known for compact quadricycles and vehicles that can be driven under lighter licensing rules in parts of Europe. The company emerged in the early 1980s after the acquisition of Arola and introduced the Aixam 325 D in 1984. Rather than competing directly with conventional passenger cars, Aixam built a durable niche around extremely small urban vehicles, diesel microcars and, more recently, electric models. Its history makes it an important part of the European microcar and light-vehicle landscape.
