Donkervoort

Dutch sports-car marque founded by Joop Donkervoort in 1978. After initially working from the Lotus Seven concept, Donkervoort developed increasingly independent lightweight road cars focused on low mass, direct controls and high power-to-weight ratios. The first S7 was followed by the S8 and later D-series cars. Production has remained deliberately small, with customer cars hand-built in the Netherlands.
