American marque introduced by Chrysler in 1928 to compete in the high-volume, lower-priced segment. Plymouth became one of Chrysler’s core divisions and produced family cars, compacts, muscle cars and minivans. Models including the Fury, Barracuda, Road Runner and Voyager developed strong identities. DaimlerChrysler discontinued Plymouth after the 2001 model year as its range increasingly overlapped Dodge and Chrysler.
