Market Notes
British specialty marque with particularly strong historical recognition in the UK, Europe and United States.

AC is one of Britain’s oldest surviving automotive marques, tracing its roots to the Weller brothers’ engineering business established in 1901. The name grew from the company’s AutoCarrier vehicles before AC moved into four-wheel sporting cars. Its best-known lineage is the Ace, the lightweight British roadster that became the foundation for the Anglo-American Cobra project with Carroll Shelby. Across numerous ownership changes and interruptions, AC has remained associated with hand-built sports cars, traditional proportions and the enduring Cobra shape.
