Bond was a British marque best known for economical three-wheelers and unusual small cars. The business originated as Sharp’s Commercials and produced the Bond Minicar beginning in the late 1940s, taking advantage of British taxation and licensing rules that favored lightweight three-wheelers. It later expanded into four-wheel sporting models such as the Equipe. Reliant acquired the company in 1969 and continued the Bond name on the wedge-shaped Bond Bug before retiring the marque in the 1970s.
