- Global ultra-luxury market; historical French/European roots with international clientele.
Bugatti was founded by Ettore Bugatti in Molsheim in 1909 and became famous for combining engineering, competition success and highly distinctive design. The original company produced legendary racing and luxury cars before fading after the Second World War. Romano Artioli revived the marque in Italy during the 1990s with the EB110. Volkswagen Group later established a new Bugatti operation in Molsheim, leading to the Veyron and Chiron eras. Modern Bugatti continues as an ultra-low-volume hypercar marque with French identity and an international collector market.
