Market Notes
UK core with longstanding exports to Europe, Japan and numerous specialty markets worldwide.

Caterham’s automotive identity begins with the Lotus Seven. Caterham Cars had been a Lotus dealer before acquiring the rights, tooling and designs for the Seven from Colin Chapman in 1973. It continued production and gradually developed the lightweight roadster far beyond its Lotus-era specification while preserving the basic minimalist layout. Caterham has produced road, track and kit-form variants for decades, making the Seven one of the longest-lived sports-car concepts still in production. The marque remains a specialist British manufacturer with a dedicated international enthusiast following.
