Market Notes
Global, with especially deep historical presence in North America, Latin America and numerous international markets.

Chevrolet was founded in 1911 by racing driver Louis Chevrolet and entrepreneur William C. Durant. The marque soon became a central part of General Motors and developed into one of the world’s highest-volume automotive names. Its history spans affordable family cars, pickup trucks, SUVs and performance icons such as the Corvette and Camaro. Chevrolet has also been manufactured, assembled and sold under varied strategies across numerous international markets. Within TERN1, common names such as “Chevy” should resolve to Chevrolet rather than being treated as separate marques.
