Humber

British marque with roots in the pioneering bicycle and motor industries of the nineteenth century. Humber developed into a producer of substantial, often upmarket automobiles and later became part of the Rootes Group. Postwar models such as the Hawk, Super Snipe and Imperial reflected its position above Hillman within the group. The marque was ultimately retired during the Chrysler-era consolidation of Rootes operations.
