British specialist sports-car marque founded by Jem Marsh and Frank Costin. Marcos became known for lightweight construction, unusually low bodywork and road and racing cars using engines from several manufacturers. Early cars used plywood chassis structures, while later models adopted steel. The marque experienced repeated financial interruptions and revivals, making lifecycle events important to its Archive history.
