Renault

French automobile marque founded by brothers Louis, Marcel and Fernand Renault at the end of the nineteenth century. Renault became one of France’s principal manufacturers, producing vehicles ranging from early pioneering cars to mass-market hatchbacks, commercial vehicles, performance models and electric cars. The company was nationalized after the Second World War and later privatized, while the Renault marque remained central to French and international motoring.
