Rover

British marque whose company roots began in bicycles before moving into automobiles. Rover developed a reputation for conservative, well-engineered cars and also created the original Land Rover, which later became a separate marque. Through British Leyland and subsequent ownership changes, Rover covered family cars and executive models before the MG Rover collapse in 2005 ended mainstream Rover production.
