The Abarth-Simca GT family grew from collaboration between Abarth and Simca, combining Simca-derived foundations with Abarth engineering and specialised coupé bodies. The 1300 and later larger-capacity cars carried the partnership into international GT competition. Their parent-marque relationship remains essential to understanding the family, rather than treating every car as an unrelated, clean-sheet Abarth.
