UK core with major historical sales throughout the Commonwealth and extensive international exports/licensing.

Austin was one of the foundational names of the British motor industry. Herbert Austin established the Austin Motor Company in 1905, and the marque grew from substantial early cars into mass-market vehicles such as the Austin Seven, which influenced small-car design far beyond Britain. Austin later became a central component of BMC and subsequently British Leyland, producing everything from family saloons to Minis and larger executive cars. The badge disappeared during the 1980s, but Austin’s models and manufacturing legacy remain deeply embedded in British automotive history.
