The 124 Abarth Rally was developed from the Fiat 124 Sport Spider for rally competition. Abarth revised the suspension, structure and other components, with a road-going homologation version supporting the competition programme. Its Fiat origins and the distinction between Stradale and racing specifications remain central to the story. It is separate from the modern Abarth 124 Spider.
